Privacy Policy

You can play without joining a global leaderboard. We ask before publishing your first score, and you can withdraw later from Profile → Account & Privacy.

01Who we are

Trivia Nova: World Quiz (“Trivia Nova”, “we”, “our”) is operated by Berkay Öz. This policy explains how the Trivia Nova mobile application collects, uses, stores and shares information.

02Information we process

  • Account: Firebase user ID; email, name and provider identifier when supplied through Google or Apple sign-in. Guest accounts receive an anonymous Firebase ID.
  • Profile: display name, country flag, selected and spoken languages, badges and titles.
  • Gameplay: quiz scores, answers and progress; XP, streaks and achievements; duel results, match history, league progress and leaderboard position.
  • Social and safety: friends, invitations, blocks, reports and abuse-prevention records.
  • Device and service: notification token, app version, device/operating-system information, security signals, analytics events, crash reports and performance diagnostics.
  • Purchases: transaction identifiers and entitlement status supplied by Apple or Google. We do not receive your complete payment-card details.

03Why we use information

We use information to authenticate accounts, preserve progress, provide quizzes and real-time duels, match players, operate social and safety tools, prevent cheating and abuse, deliver requested notifications, maintain purchases, troubleshoot problems and improve reliability.

04Optional global leaderboards

Before any quiz score or duel result is first published, the app asks for your consent. The notice explains that your user ID, display name, country flag, quiz scores and duel results will be uploaded to Firebase servers and used for global and weekly rankings. Other players may see your display name, country flag, scores, league statistics, badges and titles.

Your choice: If you decline, you can keep playing normally and your new results will not be added to global leaderboards. You can join or leave at any time in Profile → Account & Privacy. Leaving stops future publication and removes your existing weekly leaderboard entries while preserving private account progress.

05Service providers and sharing

We do not sell personal information. We use Google Firebase services (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging, App Check, Analytics, Crashlytics and Firebase AI Logic), Google Sign-In, Sign in with Apple, and Apple/Google purchase services. These providers process information only to supply their services, protect the app, or meet legal obligations. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect users and the service.

06Advertising and tracking

The iOS app uses Google AdMob to show interstitial, native and optional rewarded ads. Google’s User Messaging Platform presents consent choices where required before ads are requested. AdMob may process IP address, device and app information, device identifiers, ad impressions, interactions, diagnostics and performance data to deliver and measure ads, limit frequency, prevent fraud and comply with law. Trivia Nova does not request Apple’s App Tracking Transparency permission and does not access IDFA; we do not enable cross-app tracking. Rewarded ads are optional: watching one may grant three duel tickets or three bonus points, with the stated daily limits. You can review or withdraw applicable advertising consent from the privacy-options entry shown by Google when required.

07Retention, deletion and choices

We retain account and gameplay information while your account is active or as needed to provide the service, maintain security and meet legal obligations. You may update profile choices, withdraw leaderboard participation, or permanently delete your account in Profile → Account & Privacy. Account deletion removes associated account and game records, subject to limited legal, fraud-prevention and backup retention requirements.

08Your rights, children, security and transfers

Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection, and may withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. Trivia Nova is not directed to children below the minimum digital-consent age in their jurisdiction. A parent or guardian may contact us about a child’s information. We apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no online system is risk-free. Firebase and other providers may process information in countries outside yours under applicable safeguards.

09Changes and contact

We may update this policy when features, providers or laws change. The effective date above will be revised and material changes may also be announced in the app. For privacy questions or requests, email trivianova.support@gmail.com.
